KONSENS ODER KONFLIKT? (CONSENSUS OR CONFLICT?)

How can Germany prepare itself for the challenges of the 21st century? Some people call for a consensus across all political parties, while others believe that the existing conflicts should be fought out to the end without compromises.
Manfred Bissinger, Dietmar Kuhnt and Dieter Schweer asked 34 business leaders, scientists and journalists to answer the question: Which basic concept of German politics ought to guide us into the next millennium? The FORSA institute of opinion research asked a representative cross-section of German citizens the same question.
